Saturday was the big party and it was so much fun! We squeezed everyone into Grandma & Grandpa's house and let the girls do the entertaining. They finally got to show off their new tricks- standing and walking! Overall, we were impressed at how well the ducks handled all the people and attention. They're notorious for their stranger anxiety and while we've definitely noticed it getting better, we were hesitant about how they would handle the party. While they still had their melt-down moments, they seemed to feel comfortable enough to play with their cousins and, gasp, let go of their mom and dad for a minute or two. They were very good babies.

Here's a run down of the party goods:
Homemade duck sugar cookies
The party cake- funfetti with cream cheese filling and vanilla frostingThe ducks' cupcakes (which they wouldn't try a bite of)- banana with cream cheese frosting
Make Way For Ducklings timeline (yes, I realize it's going right to left- long story)

The all important party girls' attire (thank you Miama for the tutus and hats and Grandma for the onesies!)

The presents (they LOVED the tissue paper) Everything was perfect and we had so much fun. The girls, Kevin and I, are so blessed to have you all in our lives. Thank you everyone for coming, all the wonderful gifts and for making the girls' first birthday oh so special. Hope you all had a fabulous time!

The duck cookies came out so cute! They should definitely wear their tutu's for the 1 year shoot!
