Taking Care of Babies

The girls love taking care of their dolls, animals and babies with the gear and supplies we got them for their birthday. We often find the following scenes going on all over the house. They are such sweet little mommies!

Their World- Part 2

Here are a few more pictures I found on the girls' digital camera. Someone obviously wasn't ready for a picture Aunt Marjorie & baby Liam There were tons of TV pictures, but this one is so random Say cheese, sister! Fun with crayons Mama & Goosey They love posing for each other

Their World

The girls got a kids digital camera for Christmas from Aunt Katie and cousin Lizzy that they love. They have taken some interesting, and sometimes surprisingly good, pictures. The camera fills up quickly though since for every 1 decent photo they take, there are no less than 80 all black shots. It takes a lot of memory clearing (and batteries) to keep this camera going. My goal is to post some of their pictures every once in awhile to see what they find picture worthy in their little world. Here are the first few. Toes Lincoln Log cabin Cootie Bugs Rug at Mom's house Close Up

3 Year Photoshoot

My friend Jenolyn was kind enough to take pictures for us to mark the girls' 3rd birthday. We had a wonderful afternoon at the park just hanging out and playing. The girls loved the duck pond, bubbles and playing peek a boo with Jenolyn. Here are some of her shots. You can see more on her blog here .

3 Year Check-Up

Yesterday was the girls' yearly physical. Here's the important stats: Olivia: 28 lbs, 37 inches Lucy: 27 lbs, 37 inches The girls had a great time at the appointment and were so good. They sat up on the table together and chatted with the Dr. (who we love). She asked them all sorts of questions and we just quietly listened to their answers. It was very cute and they were not hesitant at all to tell her their favorite animals, colors, who was at their birthday party etc. The Dr. said they both looked great and were right on with their height/weight (we've never been concerned about what % they are in for their height/weight). No immunizations are needed until Kindergarten so after a quick finger prick to check their iron we were on our way. Hooray for easy Dr. visits!

First Movie

We took the girls to see their first movie in the theater this weekend. They had seen previews, the movie trailer and read the story of The Lorax and been asking to see it. We decided with all the cold and rain keeping us locked inside, we should venture out to the movies. The girls LOVED it and were so good. They sat in their seats in between us and intently watched the whole movie. They would point, laugh and comment every once in awhile and were super focused on the whole experience. They never even asked to go potty (thank goodness). It was a great afternoon and we loved just looking over and watching the girls enjoy the movie.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Birthday Part 2

What a beautiful day for a park birthday! We definitely had lots of luck with the weather and finding an open patio area at Arlington Heights Sports Park on Saturday. Everyone joined us at "the big park" for some snacks, pizza, whiffle ball and plenty of park playtime. We had so much fun seeing the girls run around and play with everyone. It's so different not having to constantly be holding/supervising/helping them. We actually got to hang out, enjoy the party and talk to people! It was just a nice relaxing afternoon on a sunny SoCal day. The girls loved everything about their party. They like talking about everyone who was there, who gave them which presents and what games they played with everyone. They are such lucky girls to have such a large, loving family nearby to be such a big part of their lives. As usual, the girls were spoiled rotten with presents. They got books, pretend cleaning toys, clothes, bubbles, hats, a tea set, stick horses, tball sets, sticker...
