We've had quite an exciting past week! First, cousin Lizzy arrived a week early because she wanted to always share her birthday with her mama. How cool, huh? She's healthy, beautiful and oh so tiny. Seeing and holding her brings back soooo many memories of those first few days and weeks with the girls. I may have to do a whole post just about those memories. It's been fun to see the girls get so excited to see Lizzy and they love to pat her head. We're sure they'll be great pals growing up.
To keep the excitement going, we're taking the girls on a road trip to Phoenix for the weekend. We'll be spending time celebrating with family, visiting an old friend and just being away for awhile. It's a much needed vacation that we're looking forward to.
In the midst of everything, it hit me today that tomorrow the girls will be 15 months old! Unbelievable. They can do so much now and everyday they say or do something new. This really is an amazing time to watch them grow. Here's a summary of some of their big accomplishments:
Olivia

Olivia
- Drinks completely from a sippy cup
- Eats: carrots, peas, potatoes, bread, jello, pancakes, mac n cheese, cheese, yogurt, cereal bars, bananas, goldfish, jelly toast, eggs, green beans, sweets
- Says: bubbles, sister, cheese, mama, dada, dog-dog, nene (this is what we call their bottoms- long story)
- Roars like a lion, barks like a dog, makes an elephant sound
- Cuddly, loves to give kisses, super sensitive and hates to be told no- it breaks her heart. Can be very independent, is easy-going and willingly shares everything with her sister
Lucy
- Drinks completely from a sippy cup
- Eats: carrots, peas, potatoes, jello, pancakes, mac n cheese, cheese, yogurt, cereal bars, bananas, oatmeal, turkey, goldfish, eggs, green beans, sweets
- Says: bubbles, sister, cheese, mama, dada, dog-dog, nene, chair, fish
- Roars like a lion, barks like a dog, makes an elephant sound, sometimes moos & baas
- Total mama's girl, such a ham, loves the camera, making faces to get reactions and entertaining her sister. Feisty and sometimes stubborn. She definitely knows what is "hers" and what is "sister's" and will go after "hers"
They are the sweetest, most wonderful girls. We love every minute with them and look forward to seeing what new tricks they have every day. We are so blessed and couldn't imagine our lives with only one or the other of them. They are our perfect ducks and we couldn't ask for more. There is so much more I could write but I'd never pack for our trip.
