We had a wonderful weekend celebrating all the Mom's in our life! We are so lucky to have both of our Mom's play such a big role in the girls' lives (and ours). We couldn't ask for more loving and supportive Moms. We've learned so much from both of them. We love seeing how much they love and adore our girls and how much the girls love and adore them back. Thanks for letting us celebrate you over the weekend!
Sunday we spent Mother's Day taking the girls to Sea World for the first time. It was such a fun day! Since we have passes for the rest of the year we didn't do a whole lot but we did manage to see Shamu under the water, watch the Shamu show, visit the dolphins and penguins and meet Elmo & Abby from Sesame Street. The girls were very animated and excited during the penguin exhibit and also the Shamu show. They loved to point and say what the penguins were doing and oohed and aahed, clapped and danced for the whole Shamu show. They hardly sat down for a minute since they could see better standing in our laps. I'd say the Sesame Street Play Place was the highlight for the girls. Here they finally got to get out of their stroller and run around in a place covered with their favorite Sesame Street characters. It was their Elmo heaven! I can't wait to take them back and do more of the hands on and up close stuff so they can see even more what its all about.
Overall it was a great weekend spent with the people who mean the most to me (which was much needed after a rough week at work). Kevin and the girls spoiled me with a watch, a photo mug and a new purse on top of taking me to breakfast. The girls were so good all day even with only a 45 minute car nap for the entire day! They were such big troopers when we stopped by USD on the way home to walk around a bit. I wanted to take a picture of them at my alma mater. Plus we got to stop in and hang out with Melissa & Ross for a bit for some dinner and a potty break. It was the perfect end to a great weekend. I definitely feel like one lucky Mama!
