It's been miserable here. Not quite earthquakes and hurricanes, but plenty of heat and humidity to drive us crazy. I think our air conditioner ran non stop from Thursday to Saturday without getting the house below 86 (it was 106 outside). Yuck. We decided Sunday morning we needed to escape for a bit and headed down to Newport Beach. We spent a few hours splashing in the waves, building sand castles and enjoying our lunch in the cool 80 degree beach weather. It was glorious.
