Rearranging

We decided to rearrange some of the house this weekend in an attempt to 1) get the girls to play more in their room and 2) make our living room appear more like an actual living room and less like a toy store. So far, so good!

We moved the rocking chair out of the girls room and into the living room as more of a reading chair. Then we put the play kitchen in the girls room along with a basket of miscellaneous toys and their tea party set. They also have their dress up clothes in their room. The girls helped us move things around right before bed so they at least knew what they were in for when they woke up. We love that both rooms feel bigger and it feels ready for us to put their twin beds in there. The girls have been playing in their room more which is a big plus because then it contains some of the toy mess to that room. The rocker in the living room has worked out too. The girls love climbing up there to read books together or by themselves. It's their little reading corner which is great since the rocker was really only getting used at bedtime otherwise.

We're really happy with the changes and the living room is starting to feel a bit more like an actual living room. Mission accomplished!
