Meet our Elf on the Shelf, Happy.
Happy just joined our family straight from Santa. He will be watching us everyday to see if we are naughty or nice and every night he will return to Santa to report back. Each morning when we wake up he will be a new place in our house.
Last night was his first night here. The girls were curious about him from the moment they saw him. We read the story together and then decided to name him Happy (Lucy's suggestion). He went up on the shelf and with a few reminders that "Happy is watching" the girls were on their best behavior. It got it through a quick and easy dinner so they could run over and tell Happy they ate it all up. Lucy especially loves announcing to Happy what she has done and she even pretends he is talking back to her. We reminded the girls at bedtime that Happy will watch them go to sleep and he will tell Santa if they are fooling around so they better go straight to sleep. Not a peep out of them. We love Happy!!
