Sarah & Tim were married this past weekend and what a wonderful weekend we had! There were so many relatives in from out of town that we were able to spend some time with and everything was absolutely beautiful. The wedding day went smoothly, with all their hard work and planning really paying off. We all had a wonderful time and the girls had an absolute blast as little flower girls.
They walked down the aisle holding Lizzy's hands without a problem and were such good girls for the ceremony. They sat with me and the other bridesmaids and watched and listened quietly. We received tons of compliments on their behavior during Mass. We were so proud of them!
Everyone's favorite part of a wedding is the dancing and the girls couldn't wait! While we waited for dinner the girls ran around on the dance floor with some of their cousins. They loved twirling in their princess dresses and rolling around on the floor. Once the events started the girls sat right beside the dance floor to watch Sarah & Tim's first dance and some of the other dances. It was absolutely precious. They loved seeing Aunt Sarah is her princess dress and I think the whole day just felt magical for them. Once the dance floor opened up, they were right there dancing with everyone else. I'm fairly certain Olivia would still be there dancing if we let her. The girl was a machine. All she wanted to do was twirl and dance. Lucy on the other hand was done partying quite early. She just wanted me to hold her as she was quite tired from the crazy nap schedule that day and all the excitement.
After a few dances to let Olivia get her fill, we pulled the girls aside to put on their pajamas and send them home with Grandma to get a head start on sleeping. Though they weren't happy to leave, they were so tired and ready for bed by the time they got there that they didn't fight it one bit. Kevin and I stayed to dance and hang out a bit more before we called it a night too. It was a great wedding, as they all are. We are so happy for Tim & Sarah and so thankful we got to be a part of their big day.
