This is a story from my Mom's house this past week.
At lunchtime, the girls wanted to watch Curious George while they ate. My mom said they were very intently watching the episode. Apparently, somehow George accidentally lost the yellow hat that belong to the Man with the Yellow Hat. As the episode progressed and George realized he had misplaced the hat and the Man was on his way, he had to quickly race the Man home in order to recover it. Well, when it got to the climax of the story where George was running up the stairs while the Man took the elevator, Olivia burst into tears. She started crying and saying, "Turn it off, I can't watch this!" My Mom didn't know what the problem was but after a little bit she figured out Olivia was so upset because she thought Curious George was going to be in trouble for the hat debacle. She cuddled my Mom and watched the rest of the episode sniffling. By the end, when the hat was rescued and all was well again, Olivia was crying and laughing. Poor caring, sensitive little Olivia.
