Disney Day

Friday was our second day at Disneyland on our 2 day passes. It was a nice warm, sunny day with not too many people. We love these little trips with the girls to see their eyes light up and their delight in every little ride, character and activity. We visited the Princess Fantasy Fair again where we met Ariel, Belle and Jasmine and were able to watch and participate in the Royal Coronation Ceremony. Here the girls are learning the dance along with the other kids.



At the end of the ceremony they shoot these ribbons into the air and all the kids scramble to get one. The girls were so excited to go meet Daddy back in line to meet the princesses and show him the ribbons they caught.

The girls chatted with each of the princesses and proudly said their names, how old they are and answered all the questions each princess had for them. They love meeting the princesses but get so serious once they are up close to them so it's hard to tell from these serious faces that they really are enjoying themselves. They get so caught up in the moment!

After that, we headed to Small World, the Carousel (Lucy's favorite part of the day), Teacups, the Jungle Cruise and Tarzan's Treehouse before taking a break for ice cream and the parade (Olivia's favorite part of the day).

We rushed over to check out the line to meet Rapunzel right after the parade and lucked out with a fairly short line. We were lucky enough to meet a sweet family in front of us who had a daughter named Lucy as well. The girls loved meeting another Lucy. Right when we got to the front of the line Flynn Rider showed up to join Rapunzel in her castle for pictures. They were just as sweet as the other princesses we had met. The girls wanted to ask Rapunzel how long it takes to comb her hair and she told them 15 minutes.

Autopia is always fun for the girls who are just barely tall enough to be able to drive (though they cannot see out of the car so it's more like them just turning the wheel whenever and wherever they feel like). The girls had so much fun and the line was a so short that we were able to do it back-to-back. They love being "crazy drivers" as they say. Olivia especially was hysterically laughing nearly the entire ride as she purposely turned the wheel all the way until the car jerked back the other way on the track. She thought it was the best to "crash" like that.

They were adamant that we had to go on Dumbo no matter how long the wait was so we headed back to Fantasyland for our longest wait of the day- 20 mins.

We finished the night with a yummy dinner in New Orleans Square and the new Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters Ride which none of us had done before. The girls really liked that one but our pictures didn't really turn out since the girls were too short. It was a fun but exhausting day and though we love Disneyland, it's definitely one of those places we only can take so much of and will be fine to visit in a couple of years or so.
