After Lizzy's party we drove down to San Diego to stay at Ross & Melissa's house so we could be ready for KidsFest Sunday. This is the first time we've gone to it and we had so much fun I think this will become a regular event. It was in Liberty Station in San Diego where they blocked off a whole area for booths, arts & crafts, food, a maze and all kinds of other games and activities for kids. The best part was that it wasn't even that crowded.
We spent the day making glasses, a pinata, helping with a ribbon maze, seeing ladybugs and playing in dirt, practicing our drumming skills, making mice out of strawberries, trying out dress up clothes, eating yogurt and tater tots and lots of other things. The girls loved being able to do anything they could see since it was all for them. The only thing we skipped that they really wanted to do was this giant heart shaped inflatable jumper. I was leery of it since it was all enclosed and we wouldn't be able to see what they were doing in there and also because from past jumpy house experiences, the girls haven't enjoyed it. So with a long line, we opted to skip that activity. Luckily we are still able to convince the girls that some things are for big kids. They still like to think of themselves as little kids. Works for me!
