This week was the start of swim lessons for the girls. The classes are 30 minutes M-Th for 2 weeks. This year they moved up to level one where they just go with the teachers, not with us anymore. I could tell they were a bit overwhelmed at the beginning when they first called everyone into the pool but as soon as they figured out where they had to be and who their teacher was they were just fine.
The girls had a blast though even while waiting for their turns. They sat on the step and watched the other kids and splashed everyone. I only got a few pictures of the first class so far. They were able to practice blowing bubbles, kicking, floating on their stomachs and floating on their backs. Olivia had her heart set on jumping off the diving board and they ran out of time to let the kids do that so her night was ruined. The teacher did come talk to us afterwards and she said they would be able to go off the diving board other night's. Hopefully tonight is the night, so we don't devastate Olivia again.
We were a bit annoyed that they overfilled the class so they had to call over another teacher and none of the kids got a significant amount of time actually swimming. We're going to switch to an earlier class they said was less crowded and see how that goes.
