The Dear's

The girls have quite a few princess dolls and characters that they play with all.the.time. We noticed one day  they were saying "dear" quite a bit and eventually we noticed a pattern to it. Some of the dolls were "dears" and others were not. I asked Lucy about it, since she talks about it the most frequently. She told me that the "dears" are the daughters (their mother's call them "dear"). So now, when we watch and listen to the girls play with their dolls we often hear things like, "Sista, Jasmine's going to get her dear" or "Dear, Dear! Come on dear, we are going over here". One time I made the mistake of calling the smaller Jasmine doll Jasmine and was corrected by Olivia with, "No, that's not Jasmine that's her dear". Apparently, "dear" is the only name some of the dolls go by these days. Go figure.
