Rose Parade

Totally forgot to publish this post until I saw it today. Long overdue...

We continued the tradition and headed down to the Rose Parade on New Year's Day. Joining us this year were Nana, Brian, Marjorie, Liam, Tim, Sarah, Katie, Brett, Kaitlyn, Reilly, Ian and Lizzy. We met up with my coworker Penny and her family too. With a few rows of people seated in front of us, we had a great view of everything.

We were all excited for the parade and the girls were most excited about the horses and seeing the Queen and Princesses. Hands down though, the award for Most Enthusiastic Parade Watcher went to Lizzy. This was her first parade and she was laughing, yelling, pointing, dancing and clapping for most of it. She loved being up on people's shoulders so she could see and she would point and announce what was coming up next for all of us; "Look! A pony!" or "Look! Marching!" It was so fun to see how excited she was for every single float, band or horse that came by. She definitely added some excitement to the whole thing.

The kids all definitely got tired toward the end and ended up cuddling up with me in a chair and sharing some goldfish until the parade was over. Such a fun morning and great way to kick off the new year. Thanks everyone for joining us!
