Twin Playing

I can't say it's truly self guided play since the girls pretty much direct each other most of the time. As I've said before, we're in full blown imagination stage so there is almost constantly a game of some sort going on. The girls find anything and everything and turn it into an adventure/game/princess scene. One of them will start a scenario and the other jumps in and starts playing too. Then throughout the playing you overhear them tell each other what their characters should say. Here's a good example:

Olivia: "Oh no, it's almost time for her mom to have dinner. (to Lucy) She has to say 'come to dinner, dear'"
Lucy's (in a whiny character voice): "Come to dinner, dear. (to Olivia in her regular voice) She has to say 'but Mom I'm still playing.'"

It goes on and on like this throughout the day. They really are going to be phenomenal at improv someday since they can jump in any situation the other creates and run with it. They don't even argue that much about what the other wants their character to do and just sort of wing it and go with the flow. It really is amazing to just sit, watch and listen to them imagine and play together. Their twin bond really is the best.
