Happy Father's Day!

We spread the celebration over 2 days since the Dad's in our lives are pretty special. Saturday we had some yummy brunch and walked around the mall for awhile. The highlight of the trip for the girls was stopping in the The Disney Store, the highlight for Kevin was his 2 new pairs of shoes and some shirts and the highlight for me was the breakfast :)...everyone wins! After that we headed home where we had a delicious bbq dinner.

Sunday we got up and went to Mass and then spent the day at my parent's house. After brunch the girls went out to swim in their little pool while my Dad & Kevin put up a sun shade. Everyone was kind of worried the girls would be bored in their little plastic pool after we got our backyard pool a few weeks ago. I had faith in them though, and knew their little plastic pool offered something none of the other pools had- a slide. Sure enough, when there was barely enough water in the pool to make it wet, the girls were in and running in circles going down the slide as fast as they could. No dissatisfaction whatsoever. They had almost as much fun squirting each other with the hose while the pool filled up!

After naps for nearly everyone, Kevin and the girls went into the big pool where there was lots of jumping and throwing. The girls loved every minute of it. Seeing the joy on their faces as they play with Kevin is what Father's Day is all about. They absolutely adore him and he's pretty into them too. It's so fun to watch them all play together. We had a delicious dinner, opened presents and then had chocolate cake before heading home.

  1. "Dad" looks good on Kevin. :) Sarah, I think you and Kevin will look just as you did while you were dating. You guys don't age!
