Preschool

Today was the first day of preschool for the girls at a Montessori School by my work. They will go 3 half days a week for this year and then go to Kindergarten next year. We talked a lot about school leading up to today and the girls were both very excited about recess and the playground. Every once in awhile they'd work in some comment about learning but never failed to mention how much fun playing would be.

Olivia was up bright and early this morning and told me first thing, "I'm so excited for school today!" Lucy's still coming off a cold so she slept a bit later and wasn't as thrilled with the morning's routine. Kevin went with us and we took the girls in and met their teacher, Miss Tiffany, who has her own set of twins. I think the girls were a bit overwhelmed by all the commotion of the first day of school. There were a lot of parents, pictures, getting to know the routine etc. and the girls just stood next to us holding hands with these glazed over looks on their faces. After putting their stuff down and giving us hugs and kisses they got into line with the other kids and were ready to start the day. No tears by anyone, so that's a victory in and of itself! I can't wait to pick them up and hear how the first day went.
