So proud of my little preschool graduates! Preschool promotion was last week and boy was it a big deal. The girls were so excited for the little ceremony and loved having the spotlight on them for a little while. I took the day off work to celebrate with the girls and Kevin, my parents, Aunt Sarah & Aunt Katie came along to the ceremony. The little ceremony was short but cute. After playing Pomp & Circumstance while all the classes walked out, the teachers called up each student to get their diploma from the principal and then each child walk out in front of everyone and took a little bow while everyone cheered. It was adorable! Lucy walked out first and did a cute little curtsy and Olivia followed and did a very traditional bow.
We are so proud of how much the girls have grown this year. It was their first experience in school, first time away from family and first time experiencing making friends all on their own. Not once did they cry, not want to go to school and they were never scared. If they were, they seemed to have been comforted by having each other with them. In this year, they improved their writing, counting and drawing and have even started reading. They continue to amaze us with the things they observe and remember and the little things they put together. We can't wait to see what Kindergarten holds for them, but are so grateful we made the decision to put them in preschool where and when we did. They truly are amazing children and we couldn't be more blessed.
Also, we could not have worked out the transportation to and from preschool without my parents. Their support, drop offs, last minute pick ups and helping with projects, etc made it all possible. We cannot thank you both enough!
