Lucy to Aunt Marjorie at her birthday party: "This dress I can't get dirty because I got it at Marshall's. It's a very nice dress!"
Lucy: "You mean what you mean and you say what you say."
When Auntie Sarah asked the girls what they want for their birthday:
Olivia: "A trumpet"
Lucy: "A goldfish"
Olivia: After playing her trumpet for a few minutes, "that's enough practice for today. I'll have a another lesson tomorrow."
