It's off to 1st Grade for these lovely ladies!!
We had our traditional fancy back-to-school dinner the night before the first day. The girls remembered that surprise dinner from last year and were talking about it and asking if we were going to do it. Kevin took the girls out for the afternoon so I could get ready. When they got home and saw the table all set they screamed and ran to their room to get ready. They love dressing up, using the china and making it very fancy. It really is a fun night!
Here they are before we headed off to school. They were full of nervous excitement.
It was a great first day and they loved seeing all their friends again. There were some new kids in their class that are new to the DLI program. Lucy was so cute when she told me about the first day. She said there was a little boy at her table who doesn't know Spanish and he kept asking her what to do so she kept helping him. She said the next day there were 2 little boys who were asking her what to do so she did even more helping. She's such a sweet girl! I love that the class is structured the way it is so that the kids are all teammates working together to learn. They seem to really help each other.
