Two

October 30th we celebrated Andrew's second birthday! The girls were so excited all week and kept reminding him "It's almost your birthday!" He wasn't really into it mostly because birthday to him just means cake and he didn't see a cake anywhere in the house but also because he wasn't feeling well. He got a fever and slight congestion the day before his birthday. Luckily it cleared up in time to really celebrate at his party on Saturday (more on that in a separate post). We had a good day with a small celebration on his actual birthday. He got to open his presents from us and the girls and loved his toy vacuum, music player, books, coloring books and cars. The girls and I picked up a small cake at the store and we had his favorite turkey taco dinner followed by delicious cake and ice cream.

Being sicky requires extra Mama cuddles

He LOVED it and promptly "vacuumed" the whole house

He loved us singing and the anticipation of cake

Andrew already seems so much older than 2. I think it's because he mimics the girls so much and is always on the go. People are always surprised by his vocabulary once he gets talking. Our little Ba is happy, silly, smart and active. The girls adore him and are the best big sisters anyone could ask for and he makes them laugh harder than anyone else. We love our big 2 year old boy!!

Two
  • Says enthusiastically, "Guess what???" followed by silence
  • Sings along to the pop songs on the radio (currently pretty good at the "Fight Song")
  • Obsessed with clocks (still) - he got 2 for his birthday and LOVES them both
  • Asks, "Can I have some..." milk, water, cookies, cake, banana...
  • Babbles along to bedtime prayers
  • So polite always saying, "Thank you, Mama" and "Bless you, Mama"
  • Loves Church and the Our Father (even though he is pretty noisy and restless during Mass)
  • Takes his shoes and socks off in the car every time
  • Hates long sleeves and jacket zippers annoying his neck
  • Knows most of the nursery rhymes and sings them constantly
  • Loves elevators
  • Still working on potty training. Still wearing Pull Ups and we totally dropped it for a few weeks but this week he has been interested again and started telling us when he has to go and having success!
  • Wearing 24 months and 2T clothing
  • Size 5.5 to 6 shoes
  • Height: 33 1/2" - total rough estimate since he wouldn't stand still for very long
  • Weight: 28.6 lbs
  • Curly, light hair that I don't know what to do with but honestly the curls are ridiculously cute so I really don't do anything to it
