We began summer with the ballet studio's annual In Studio performance. The girls danced to Cinderella this time. They did a great job, as always, and it was so fun to watch.
It's been fun to notice the differences in how they react to performing. Lucy looks over at us a lot while she dances and always has a big smile on her face. I think having us there distracts her a little but she still does a great job. Olivia is a bit more serious about it. You can see her watching her moves, making sure she is in the right spot on the floor etc. She looks over at us less often and is a bit more serious about the whole thing.
They love ballet and performing for us (as evidenced by the weekly shows they put on for us at home). We took a break in July and the girls are itching to get back to class. A few of the girls they have been dancing with this whole time left the studio after this performance so I know the girls will miss them. They are really excited for Nutcracker auditions which are in just a few weeks!
